Second Creek Boat Dock
At one time, there existed a private boat dock with a lot of slips at this location. Now, there is only an access ramp and boat launching tie-off dock.
This double lane ramp is located nearest to the Cumberland River of the two ramps on the creek. It is about 1 tenth mile from the Cumberland. The ramp is usable by one rig at a time, but both it and the 8' by 16' dock are in need of repair. It has about a 10 ° slope, and parking places for maybe 8 vehicle/trailer rigs. A privately owned restaurant, motel and camping facility is next to it, and has a couple of picnic tables. At this time, it is called "Pine Cove", but it is for sale. To reach it, take Highway 141 from the Hartsville, TN town square going towards Lebanon, TN. Turn right on Puryears Bend Road, which is just past a small market on the right, before you get to the Cumberland River Bridge. Go a couple of miles, then turn left on Boat Dock Lane. Take the first right and follow to the end at the ramp.
