TVA Gallatin Steam Plant Access Area, mile 244.7R
This single lane ramp is located on TVA property, and is day use only. Vehicles and persons are subject to search by TVA security personel, who monitor it. It is 16 feet wide, with a slope of 15 °. There is a large "hump" of concrete used to repair it that would hang on the bottom of many low profile trailers. There are no restrooms or other facilities, but there are a few picnic tables, and maybe 10 parking places for vehicles and trailers. The location is very beautiful, with a great elevated view of the lake. There is no dock, but a concrete wall with cleats to tie up boats is available. From Gallatin, TN, take highway 25 towards Hartsville, and turn right on Steam Plant Road. It is on your left about 1/2 mile before the Steam Plant gate.
